April is Financial Literacy Month and as an educator I’m always looking for good resources to help my students and myself in this life long journey of understanding concepts within the personal finance realm. A colleague of mine mentioned there was an organization that offered free professional development and he referred me to the website. NGPF, or Next Gen Personal Finance, is an amazing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers amazing lessons and links to material to better understand finances. I’ve had over 30 hours of professional development with this organization and have implemented many of their lessons and I’ve learned new information at the same time.
NGPF offers a wide range of topics from the basics of checking accounts and loans to more specific lessons like the GameStop phenomenon and Cryptocurrency and BitCoin. If you’re an educator, or know someone that is, please check out this amazing personal finance educational platform.
